Friends of Fryston – (April 2019-  Present)

My role at Friends of Fryston is not only to run their social media but help think of ideas for upcoming events for children in the area.

• Create posters and events pages to inform people of what is upcoming and what they involve.

• Take enquires commented on the pages or private messages.

• Manage tickets for the events and make sure we don’t go over capacity.

• Ensure everything is published in advance to give people plenty of notice for the events .

• Come up with unique and individual ideas to make them fun and different from other peoples events in the area.

• To get as many young adults involved as possible to keep them off the streets.

 

Healthcare at Home - Customer and Patient Services Therapy Co-ordinator (June 2018- September 2018)

Over summer I carried out 70 hours of work placement which then turned into a job over summer. Here I learnt how to:

• Be confident over the phone by delivering quality customer service.

• How to deal with complex queries (both internally and externally) over the phone to professionals and/or over email. Here I learnt how to use my initiative as ever call was different and how to make quick decisions by critically analyzing what their problems were.

• Focus of the customer’s needs by making sure all the data I was inputting was correct so they weren’t left without medication.

• Raise adverse events on patients who had problems with their medication and for this I had to be thorough.

• Be thorough with Prescriptions and able to notice if patients arent taking medication like they’re supposed to.

• Analsyse digital data, in different forms, including personal data such as their address and contact number as well as their prescriptions.

• Learn how to operate specialized software such as CRM edocs and sage.

• Adhere to Data protection policies put in place to safe guard patients.

 

 

Airedale Academy - Dance Teaching Assistant (December 8th-19th 2014)

For my 2 weeks work experience, high school I decided to stay at the school in was studying at and carry out my work experience alongside the head of Dance. I felt that this was an appropriate place to do my work experience as it really helped me to develop basic working life skills. Whilst on my work experience I had to:

• Prepare and deliver lessons to classes of different ages and abilities varying from the ages of 11-16.

• Experience the pressure of deadlines for marking books, mock exams (both written and practical) and how to give constructive criticism on each of these.

• Here I had to use my creativity skills to put together different displays around the classroom to advertise what dance had to offer as well as content that you would learn on the course.

• Learn how to make sure the environment was safe not just for myself but for others around me. This included making sure there was no obstacles on the floor that could potentially put others in danger and making sure the environment was the correct temperature.
